Rice with Bamboo Shoot

This dish is called “takenoko-gohan” in Japanese. Bamboo shoots cooked with rice. Please prepare seasoned bamboo shoots to cook this rice. However, if you did not have time, just cook rice with cut boiled bamboo shoots, dashi soup, some salt, and soya-bean sauce. Boiled bamboo shoots can be bought at supermarkets if you could not find raw bamboo shoots.

Ingredients
Seasoned bamboo shoots      200g
Soup of seasoned bamboo shoots  100㏄
Rice                360㏄
Sake               30㏄
Salt                3㏄
Dashi soup             160㏄

Ingredients
1. Cut seasoned bamboo shoots into small pieces if they were big.
2. Prepare dashi soup.
3. Wash rice and drain.
4. Put all the ingredients in a rice cooker and cook rice.
5. Mix well as soon as the rice is cooked. Cover the cooker again and serve after 5 minutes.
