Broad Beans – “Sora-mame”

You will find “sora-mame” at supermarkets in spring. We usually eat them boiled. After boiling them, beans are easy to be taken out from their skin. Just squeeze the bottom of the skin. You can cook afterward if you want.

Ingredients
Sora-mame
Water    600㏄
Salt     5g

How to cook
1. Take out beans from the pods.
2. Tear off black parts of the beans.
3. Boil water and salt. Add sora-mame and boil for 2 minutes. Drain.

Tear off black parts of the beans.
Tear off about this much.
Boil water and salt. Boil beans for 2 mins. Drain quickly.
