This is a very popular dish and called “tamago-yaki”. It is often cooked for a lunch box. There are two types of rolled omelet: sweet & salty and salty. This recipe is sweet & salty, and easier to cook than the others. I use a pan, specialized for this omelet but you can use an ordinary pan if you didn’t have such a pan.
Ingredients
Egg 2pcs
Sugar 3g
Soya-bean sauce 5㏄
How to cook
1. Mix eggs, sugar, and soya-bean sauce.
2. Heat a pan and spread the oil.
3. Pour some egg mixture. Gather mixture at the edge of the pan. See picture.
4. Pour some more egg mixture and let this mixture go under the cooked eggs.
5. Turn the eggs to capture the egg mixture. Finish turning at the edge of the pan. Cook all sides. Spread oil where needed.
6. Repeat 2-3 times until all the egg mixture is cooked.
