Stir fried and then cooked with sugar and soya-bean sauce, a traditional Japanese taste. “Aburaage” is a fried tofu and need to clean excess oil before use.
Ingredients
White Japanese radish 15㎝
Aburaage 2pcs
Dashi soup 200㏄
Sugar 25g
Soya-bean sauce 30㏄
How to cook
1. Cut radish to thin sticks of about 7cm long.
2. Boil or soak aburaage in a hot water and drain. Remove excess oils. Slice them to thin sticks.
3. Oil in a pan, and cook radish until radish become half transparent. Add aburaage.
4. Add dashi soup and sugar. Cover the pan and mix once in a while for 10 minutes.
5. Add soya-bean sauce, cover the pan, and mix once in a while until all the liquids are gone.
