Macaroni Gratin is quite popular at Japanese home, and can be made gluten free by using gluten free macaroni and white sauce. It doesn’t have to be a macaroni, any short pasta is fine. I usually use Penne, but used Fusilli this time.
Ingredients
White sauce 1/2 portion
Short pasta 250g or 1 packet
Shrimp 200g
Chicken 200g
Onion 1/2pcs
Mushrooms 5-6pcs
Salt 1/2tbs
Pepper as needed
White wine 1Tbs
Shredded cheese as needed
Grated cheese as needed
How to cook
1. Chop onion. Slice mushrooms. Cut chicken into small pieces. Remove shells of shrimps.
2. In a pan, stir fry onions with olive oil. Add mushrooms and chicken, cook for a while. Then add shrimp. Salt and pepper.
3. Add white wine and cover the pan until chicken and shrimp are cooked.
4. Boil macaroni in well salted water, follow the package for cooking time.
5. Add white sauce in a pan and mix. Add cooked macaroni. Taste and add salt if needed.
6. Put 5 into gratin plate. Cover with shredded cheese, and then grated cheese.
7. Grill in an oven for 10 minutes or until cheese are well cooked at 250C.
