White sauces are usually made with flour, but it can be cooked using rice powder as well. Probably you cannot tell if it was made with rice powder. White sauce can be used for gratin and white stew. I always freeze half of finished to be used in the other time.
Ingredients
Rice powder 100g
Butter 100g
Milk 1liter
Onion 1/4 pcs
Salt 5-10g
How to cook
1. Chop onion.
2. Cook butter and onion in a pan at low heat. Stop heating when onion has become transparent.
3. Add rice powder and mix. Cook for 1 minute at middle heat.
4. Add milk little by little. Mix well with wire whip. Change to spatula after all the paste has been dissolved.
5. Stir gently at low temperature. Continue stirring until it gets thickened.
